AC maintenance and repair
Servicing, repair, installation, gas top-up and annual maintenance contracts for split, ducted and chiller systems.
Indoor
Supply and return duct cleaning for split, ducted and chiller fan coil systems, plus a grille and filter clean where access allows.
Dust in Dubai does not stay outside. It is fine enough to pass through a standard filter and settle inside the ductwork itself, where it builds up on duct walls and damper blades over years of a unit running most of the year. A system can be low on dust at the filter and still be pushing air through ducts that have not been cleaned since installation.
The effect is twofold: airflow drops because the duct path narrows, so the unit runs longer for the same cooling, and whatever has settled in the ducts gets redistributed into the room every time the fan starts. Cleaning the duct run, not just the filter, is what actually addresses both.
A routine AC visit checks the filter, coil and drain, which covers most of what shortens a unit life. Duct cleaning is the inside of the duct run itself, reached through the grilles rather than at the unit, and it is worth doing on its own schedule rather than assuming a filter clean has covered it.
It depends on dust exposure, nearby construction and how long the system has run without it, more than on a fixed interval. A system that has never had its ducts cleaned since installation is the most common case we are called out for.
Often, yes, when the smell is settled dust or moisture inside the duct run rather than the drain pan or coil. We check the coil and drain as part of the visit, because the same smell can come from either, and cleaning the wrong one leaves it unresolved.
