Outdoor lighting solutions

Garden, pathway, facade and pergola lighting design and installation, on low-voltage systems built for outdoor use.

Outdoor lighting in Dubai has to survive conditions an indoor fitting never sees: direct summer sun heating a fixture well past its rated temperature, humidity and salt air near a pool or the coast, and sand finding its way into anything not properly sealed. A fitting rated for an IP score that actually matches where it sits is the difference between lighting that lasts and one replaced every season.

Low voltage is the other half of doing this safely outdoors, particularly anywhere near water or where a cable runs through a flower bed that gets dug into for planting later. A transformer steps the supply down before it reaches the garden, so the exposed wiring in the ground is not carrying mains voltage.

What the job covers

  • Lighting design for gardens, pathways, facades and pergolas
  • Low-voltage transformer and cable installation
  • IP-rated fixtures matched to where each one sits
  • Uplighting for trees, walls and architectural features
  • Timer and smart controller programming
  • Fixture and cable repair on an existing system

How it runs

  1. 01 Walk the garden or facade and discuss what should be lit and why
  2. 02 Lighting plan showing fixture type and placement
  3. 03 Written quote covering fixtures, transformer and cable run
  4. 04 Installation and aiming of each fixture in the evening, when the effect is visible
  5. 05 Controller programmed and explained to you

Questions about this service

Will outdoor lights survive a Dubai summer?

The fixture rating matters more than the brand. We specify an IP rating for where each fixture actually sits — a pathway light rated for standing water is different from a wall uplight that only sees direct sun — and that is what determines whether it is still working next summer.

Is low-voltage lighting safe near a pool?

It is the standard approach for exactly that reason. A transformer steps mains voltage down before it reaches any fixture or cable near water, so a damaged cable in a flower bed or at a pool edge is a far smaller risk than it would be on a mains-voltage run.

Can lighting be added to an existing garden without redoing the planting?

Usually, yes. Low-voltage cable can be run shallow along bed edges rather than under established planting, and fixtures are placed after the planting is seen rather than guessed from a plan, so the lighting follows what is actually there.
